WWII
Blitzkrieg
Basically "blitzkrieg" means to do something really fast in war to catch your enemy off guard. It uses all forces of tanks, infantry, artillery, combat engineers and air power. This tactic focuses mainly on using these forces and high speeds breaking through enemy lines and continuously attacking the enemy, hoping to catch them off guard and hopefully making it difficult to come up with a plan on how to respond. This new way of doing things was first introduced by the Germans in World War 2. This tactic was developed by a man named Hans Guderian, a German army officer. This officer had also written a military pamphlet called "Achtung Panzer", which had gotten into the hands of Hitler.
Barbarossa
Barbarossa occured on June 22nd, 1941. Nazi Germany, 3 million troopers, start to invade the USSR. It is known as the largest incasion in the history of the world. The battle of Barbarossa also included 600,000 motor vehicles, 750,000 horses, 3,580 tanks, 7,184 artillery guns and 1,830. PlanesHitler's strategy to attack the USSR was based on blitzkrieg, the fast movement of suprise in attacking to catch your enemy off guard. After Natzi Germany invaded the USSR, they advanced to Leningrad, Mosow and Stalingrad although they plan to take these cities they never succedd in doing so.
Pearl Harbor
The attack of Pearol Harbor occured on December 7th, 1941 in Oahu, Hawaii . Pearl harbor was an attack on the U.S Navy by the Japanese Navy. The Japanese sent one bombing plane at 7:53 a.m and another at 8:55 a.m. Because of these bombs from the planes there were 2,403 left dead, 188 destroyed planes and 8 damaged/destroyed battleships. It also killed 68 civilians not even partaking in this battle. After the Japanese decided to keep attacking Americans. They headed for the Phillies just after 5:00 a.m(Phillipes time) On December 8th. Even though American were outraged and suprised by this attack on Pearl Harbor, the American's Pacific Fleet's aircraft carriers, submarines fuil oil went without being touched.
D-Day
In this heroic battle, the Allies defeated Natzi's meaning that they finally took down Hitler and his men. On June 6th, 1944, the Allies marched along the 50 -mile strech of French coastline hoping to defeat these German troops and their leader. One officer from the Allies said, "We will accept nothing less than full victory." The Allies used more than 5,000 ships, and 13,000 aircrafts in the invasion. The Allies finally got a good start in Germany and a good plan on how to attack. D-Day was a very sad day as well. 9,000 Allied soldiers were killed in battle or wounded. But 10,000 soldiers continued to march into Germany to defeat Hitler.

Victory in Europe
Tuesday May 8th, 1945 was the day that ended Hitler's war. Suffering from Hitler's abuse and rules would no longer exist to happen. Some people celebrated because of his end, while other's didn't really know how to react. Hitler was known for having only a few ideas, to be not really in depth and keep it simple and to use stereotypes in his speeches to become popular with the people. He was able to read the audience and deliever a perfect speech everytime by telling people what they want to hear. His message to the people delalt with unemployment, hatred of Republicans, hatred of commies and upset about war and treaty. His "stab in the back theory" was IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. To me this sounds like Hitler did not care what he said or what he did, he just wanted to get in power and have people behind him to support him. Because of these reasons I can see how hard it was for people to react to this day.
Hiroshima/ Nagasaki
In 1945 towards the end of World War 2, the Allies decided to throw nuclear bombs on to Japanincluding the city's of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These two bombings were the only known bombings ever found out in World War 2. Because of these bombs many people died. In Hiroshima, 90,000–166,000 people were reported dead and in Nagasaki, 60,000–80,000 people were reported dead. These deaths mosty occuring on the first day when the bombs were dropeed. 60% died from the intensity of the bomb and its actually flares, 30% died from all of the stuff falling from the buildings ext, and 10% from other things. Because of how masive the bombs were, people, months later were reported having radiation sickness and later burns found out over time. 6 days after the bombing, Japan finally surrendered to the Allies.
